January 28, 2026

The January 28 Songbird Concerts show opened the 2026 Winter/Spring Season to a full house, with the room humming with anticipation.

Brothers Jeff and David Lazaroff set the tone with songwriting that felt both expansive and intimate, weaving their deep St. Louis roots into stories that landed softly and stayed awhile. Robert Bowlin followed with masterful musicianship and songs shaped by decades of quiet brilliance. Wil Maring rounded out the circle, bringing her signature warmth and wit to the circle, pairing road-worn wisdom with melodies that felt lived-in and generous, the kind that invite a collective exhale, reminding us how much can be said with precision and restraint.

Together, the four artists created the kind of musical conversation Songbird is known for: thoughtful, unhurried, and deeply connected. It was a sold-out night that reminded everyone in the room why listening, really listening, still matters and makes the world better.
