The first Songbird Concert of 2025 was a truly spectacular evening, featuring the stellar lineup of Amelia White, Shane Devine, Jane Godfrey, and Chris Grabau. Each artist brought their unique voice, talent, and artistry to the intimate listening space, creating a night that celebrated the diversity and richness of our singer-songwriter traditions. From heartfelt folk ballads to electrifying genre-blending performances, the audience was treated to an unforgettable showcase of creativity and connection.
We thank the incredible artists who made the evening so special, pouring their passion and stories into every song. We are also grateful to the audience whose enthusiasm and energy filled the room and made the night magical. Your support makes Songbird Concerts a haven for both performers and music lovers alike.

Making her first Songbird appearance, Amelia White is a seasoned Nashville singer-songwriter whose music captures the raw beauty of life, love, and resilience. Known for her poetic storytelling and genre-defying style, Amelia's songs blend rock, country, and Americana. With eleven full-length album releases, her songwriting has been praised by Kim Richey, Tommy Womack, and Jewly Hight and she has been profiled on NPR Music, Rolling Stone, and No Depression.

This will be Shane’s Songbird debut and you can look forward to well-crafted songs shaped by the sensibilities of Harry Nilsson, Pet Sounds-era Beach Boys, and Dan Hicks. Shane is the primary songwriter for The Opera Bell Band, known for making every show a "surreal circus experience". The band's second album was named by the Riverfront Times as one of the top ten local albums of 2019 and they recently released their third album, Giant Crab.

Jane Godfrey is a soulful storyteller and late-blooming artist who blends folk, rock, and Western swing into her self-styled "Urban Campfire Cabaret." She has released two albums showcasing her poetic sensibility, understanding of the human condition, and sense of humor. Her 2022 song "Breakfast" was named by folk icon Christine Lavin as one of her "three most memorable, meaningful songs".

An active member of the St. Louis music community for more than three decades, Chris founded and/or co-led bands such as Waterloo, Magnolia Summer, and Cave States. His talents have taken him to major festivals such as Austin's SXSW, CMJ in New York City, and stages across the UK. A multi-instrumentalist, his music blends introspective, opaque lyrics with vibrant pop melodies and layered rock textures.
